WORK BACKGROUND

 

  • UMTS INSTALLATION AND INTEGRATION at TELECOM NETWORK SPECIALISTS. (Bay Area, California)                                                       [Jan, 08 – Present]

UMTS integration using Hyper Terminal and EMAS loading up Basic Package and Upgrade Package, Scrip, Cabinet Configuration, O&M Access.

UMTS Call Testing and Troubleshooting.

Installation of Ericsson 3106/3206/3308/3018/3518 RBS (Radio Base Stations) for cell site commissioning.

Install 3106 (upgrade version) for UMTS cell site integration. Modify floor plans for UMTS requirements. 

Prevent downtime with implemented failover testing and other high availability solutions.

Create custom inverse multiplexing access scripts for deployment and implementation. Work in conjunction with RF teams for cell site antenna sector designation for UMTS.

Spectrum analyzer (Anrtisu) and T-Berd (Actrena) testing for line sweeping and T1 diagnostics.

Integrate T1 for newly acquired Node B equipment.

Upgrade software for Axxius, Flexmaster (CSU) equipment to accommodate T1 transmissions for UMTS. Monitor and upgrade DS/0 cross-connections for UMTS configuration.  Configure TSR software upgrade for GPS/Location Module Units (LMU).

Testing and troubleshooting of T1 network upgrades for UMTS consolidated projects

       

Regroomed the Ericsson RBS 2102, 2106, 2206, moved the radio from the decommissioned cabinet to retained cabinet to make room for UMTS NODE B 3018 installation. Include moving NIU, Carrier Access and LMU (commission when required).

Use OMT to change IDB for correct radios config.  Replace micro-cell 2109 with 2308, config the radios per specs.  Installed and Powered Up NODE B 3308 micro-cells, Combos 3018, 3106, 3206 RBS.

 

T1 EXPANSION

 

Adding T1’s from Telco Box (NIU) thru Surge Arrestor, DSX, CSU to reach Node B Equipment. Test T1 to meet requirements.

Site Survey

Install FCOA cabinet following Engineer Drawing Design

Install Nokia UMTS Flexi BTS followed Engineer Drawing Design.  Stack Mount, Wall Mount, Pole Mount, RRU, and FCOA.

Install T1 for UMTS from TELCO to BTS.  Check BTS alarm.  Troubleshoot Equipment.

                      Install RF jumper, Anritsu sweep RF Cables and terminate on BTS RF point

                  DC power troubleshoot

Call switch to integrate.

T-mobile UMTS Closeout Document. Verify Antenna picture for UMTS swapping, cable sweep data from construction contractor

 

 

 

  • MICROWAVE SITE AND MICROWAVE PATH SURVEY

Collected cell site coordinates.  Use Map Info to find the correct path direction.     Measure the obstacle’s height, to determine whether or not obstacles are on the path. Then define the path is blocked or not. Complete Path Survey and daily report.

 

  • TDMA Swaps/Harvest at SOLQUEST COMMUNICATION, INC.     [June, 07 – Sept, 07]

 

Swapped and removed TDMA system (Nortel Cabinet) on each Cingular Cell Sites, Arizona Market.

 

  • UMTS Site Survey at Goodman Networks, Inc.                                        [Apr, 07 – June, 07]

 

Performed Site Survey for UMTS on each T-Mobile Communication Cell Sites, Bay Area, CA.  Provide information and preparation future equipment.

 

  •      LMU E911 Installation,  Contractor at CTE Networks                   [11/06 - 03/07]

 

Install LMU, GPS/GSM antennas and Surge Arrestor. Swept all RF cables using Anritsu. Install RF cables for 850 and 1900 MHz Dual band. Configured and test installed LMU using ProComm Plus. Troubleshoot LMU and test T1/V.35 with Switch. Complete Site Survey and daily report.

Harvest: Removed WLS and all cables from WLS. Commission, maintenance and troubleshoot LMU.

 

  • E-911 Site Audit and Site Preparation Field Tech. at Goodman Networks, Inc.  (Los Angeles, California)                                                                              [Mar, 06 – Nov, 06]

Perform Site Audit for E-911 Services on each Cingular Communication Cell Sites, La-1 California Market.

Perform E-911 Site Preparation, including installation, programming and commissioning the FLEXmaster on line to communicate with True Position Switch.

Install KDI Port Expander and Ericsson ASU (Antenna Share Unit), Performed T1 Loop-back Test from BTS to RNOC.

Perform Call Test on each PCS, GSM, and TDMA communication cell site.

Assistant Project Coordinator: Collect and analyze Site Data, schedule and assist filed Techs.

Member of Rapid Response Team: Provide support to True Position crews in completing installation of True Position Wireless Location System - LMU.
